Saint Anna (carved frame)

Orthodox Icon Saint Anna carved frame in natural rombolo pine wood. This Icon is handcrafted on canvas by a craftsman and embossed according to the style and tradition of Byzantine art.

Mother of the Virgin. Although she is not mentioned in any book of the New Testament, Anna occupies a prominent place in the piety of the Orthodox Church. The Orthodox Church honors Saint Anne three times during the festive cycle: on December 9, her Assumption, on July 25 the Her sleep also on September 9, together with her husband Joachim. The Catholic Church honors Saint Anne on July 26.
