Virgin Mary Rodo Amarado (UNFADING ROSE)(carved frame2)

Handmade Orthodox Icon Virgin Mary Unfading Rose – Rodo Amarado with hand carved frame in natural rombolo pine wood. This icon was created on canvas and is made by a craftsman by hand according to the style, tradition and criteria of Byzantine art.

In the Holy Monastery of Megalo Meteoros there are two icons of the Virgin Mary.
In one (despotic tableau icon) he appears in royal robes holding Jesus Christ in his left hand and a flower in his right. It is about the Virgin Mary “Rodon the amaranth” work, according to an inscription on the left part of the image, by a well-read housekeeper Kapetsovitos from Zagori (March 12, 1790).
